    FAQ

General questions about the BORA QVac

Where can the BORA QVac be purchased?

The BORA QVac can be purchased from our authorised BORA retailers and our BORA Online Shop.

    Where can accessories be purchased?

Accessories such as vacuum boxes, vacuum bags, vacuum seals and the marinating ring can be ordered from our BORA Online Shop. A QR code on the vacuum bags directs end customers straight to our shop.

How long is the warranty for the BORA QVac?

A two-year warranty applies as standard. This can be extended by an extra year by registering the device on the BORA website or via the BORA App.

Can the BORA QVac be operated using a normal socket?

A simple socket with 1 x 16 A (Schuko plug) is required to operate the BORA QVac.

Is it also possible to use other vacuum bags (from other manufacturers)?

Yes. Vacuum bags from other manufacturers can also be used.

How long does vacuum-sealed food last?

Three times as long as non-vacuum-sealed food.

How does marinating work with the BORA QVac?

The food and the marinade must be placed in a vacuum box. Before the marinating process can begin by pressing the right-hand button (marinating mode), the vacuum valve must be removed from the middle of the lid. The marinating ring is then attached to the lid and connected to the vacuum head. This enables marinating within just a few minutes.

Are the vacuum boxes microwave safe?

No, as the temperature peaks that occur in microwaves can damage the vacuum boxes.

Is the plastic used for the vacuum boxes and vacuum bags harmless to health?

Yes. The BORA QVac vacuum boxes and bags are BPA-free and food safe. This has been verified and confirmed by various product tests.
