BORA Classic 2.0: maximum flexibility and individuality
Raubling. BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH, manufacturer of innovative cooktop extractors, presents a modular system with maximum flexibility and individuality with the launch of BORA Classic 2.0. The development of the product is uncompromisingly geared towards the company’s self-image as a trendsetter for innovative product design and technology. Thus the puristic, minimalist look blends seamlessly and elegantly into the modern kitchen and becomes a part of the architecture, without dominating it.
The functionality and inner technical workings of BORA Classic 2.0 are just as impressive. The performance of the extractor automatically adjusts to the cooking behaviour, rendering manual fan control adjustment obsolete. Another true innovation is the central control unit of this modular cooktop extractor system. The new vertical slider (sControl+) – with its smooth hollow providing touch control – allows for extremely precise and intuitive operation. All important control functions are literally at the user’s fingertips. The practically invisible, deep black control panel (“Black Vision” technology) is located in the middle just under the extractor. Even when in operation, the unit is always scaled down to the bare essentials and there is no flickering sea of lights to annoy you. The BORA Classic 2.0 control panel will win you over with its ability to adapt to the situation via colours, light and dark switching, sounds and user-friendly animations, making day-to-day use child’s play.
The selection of cooktops offers a highly varied range of options and combinations. Whether induction, glass ceramic wok or Tepan stainless steel grill: it is possible to combine two, three or more cooktops. A solution with a single cooktop is also available. BORA Classic 2.0 adapts perfectly to your personal cooking requirements – whether you’re single or live with a partner or in a big family, or are a passionate amateur chef with demanding ambitions. Thanks to the central controls on the extractor no space is wasted and with the specially designed larger cooking surface, up to four 24 cm pots can sit on the cooktop at the same time. The large surface induction cooking zones guarantee that even very large pots or roasters are heated fully and evenly. Even when the whole cooktop is occupied, thanks to the optimal airflow, noise levels remain pleasant and relaxing even when the appliance is working at full power.
Finally, as with all BORA products, the cleaning is extremely user-friendly: parts designed to save space can be easily removed through a wide, easily-accessible air inlet opening for cleaning in the dishwasher. Flat surfaces with no undercuts or deep corners prevent accidental injury during hectic everyday use.
About the company:
Since 2007, BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH, headquartered in Raubling, Upper Bavaria, has successfully developed and sold cooktop extractor systems that draw vapours downwards thanks to the use of patented technology. The innovative BORA Professional, BORA Classic, BORA X Pure, BORA Pure and BORA Basic product ranges are sold in 60 countries worldwide.
BORA founder Willi Bruckbauer has a vision: the end of the extractor hood. The patent he developed has multiple advantages: the premium-quality systems are more effective than conventional hoods, extremely quiet, energy efficient and easy to clean. They enable maximum design freedom for kitchens and a clear view.
The company received its first award within the scope of the innovation contest “365 Orte im Land der Ideen” (365 Places in the Land of Ideas) back in 2009, followed by the German Entrepreneurs’ Award, Red Dot Awards, Plus X Awards, German Design Awards, Iconic Awards, German Brand Award, Good Design Awards, iF Design Awards and others.
